Democrat Michael Day
is the State Representative for the 31st Middlesex District, representing the towns of Stoneham and Winchester.He and his wife Megan live and are active in Stoneham, where they are raising their three sons, Conor, Ryan and Finnegan. As a freshman legislator,
Michael won appointments to four powerful committees: the Committee on the Judiciary; the Joint Committee on Education; the Joint Committee on Mental Health and Substance Abuse; and the House Committee on Post-Audit and Oversight, which is charged with conducting investigations and auditing the performance of government programs. Michael and his two law partners founded their own law firm in 2012 after he worked as a Special Assistant District Attorney in Middlesex County and practiced law at Mintz Levin in Boston for nearly ten years. Michael is the former Chair of the Boston Bar Association’s Civil Rights and Civil Liberties Section and sat on the Board of Directors of a non-profit organization dedicated to ending child abuse.
